Every ten years, the Industry and services census describes the characteristics of the productive system by area and micro-area, providing the most detailed source of information available.

The 9^thIndustry and services census has been conducted in 2012 with 31 December 2011 as the reference date. This year’s edition was divided into three different surveys: on business, on non-profit institutions and on public institutions.
